Hats off to Liam Clogger, our Head of Communications. He ran the 14-mile Nurburgring Nordschliefe in 2hrs03 this evening with a group of engineers from McLaren. The lap included a five-kilometre climb from Adenau Bridge to the famous Karusell, yet Liam didn’t break into a walk once. What a man.

AT&T Williams have enjoyed a lot of success in Germany in the past, and for that reason we have a lot of support in the country. But the driver flashing the marketing department’s minibus en route to the track this morning wasn’t demonstrating his appreciation for the team; our brakes were on fire, after driver Joe Bruce had left the handbrake on. Doh!

We should have known better than to have an AT&T Williams team barbecue at the Nurburgring. The temperature dropped to five degrees as we huddled around the hot coals this evening, but, being typically British, we stuck with it and managed to have a good time. Of a kind.

Congratulations to Brawn Grand Prix CEO Nick Fry, who tied the knot with girlfriend Kate in Stratford last weekend. The happy couple cut short their honeymoon to attend the German Grand Prix, or is this race a part of the ’moon? We need to know, Nick!
