Kazuki's German Blog: Saturday

The weather forecast was touch and go for today, and so it proved. Dark clouds hovered over the Nurburgring throughout the morning and qualifying turned into a lottery when the rain eventually arrived in the middle of the session.Q1 was dry, but it started to rain during Q2 and we got our strategy wrong for that session. We were on the wrong tyres for the weather conditions, with the result that I qualified 13th and Nico 15th. Had the session remained dry, I think we could have climbed into the top 10, but that wasn’t the case.
The conditions were the same for everyone and we need to learn why we made the wrong decisions when others made the right ones. The weather could well be mixed during tomorrow’s and we don’t want to make the same mistakes again!
