Kazuki Nakajima put his sub editing skills to the test yesterday when he visited the offices of the Straits Times newspaper with AT&T Williams sponsor Oris. He watched one of the sport’s pages being designed at Singapore’s biggest-selling daily newspaper, before adding the headline “Kazuki’s on top”. Let’s hope he’s right!

While Kazuki was passing pages at the Straits Times, his AT&T Williams team-mate Nico Rosberg was cooking up a story of a different kind. He made some Moon Cakes and liked them so much that he started teaching local Singaporeans how to do it. Do we have a budding Jamie Oliver on our hands?

The person overseeing these two PR events with the drivers was AT&T Williams account manager Nick Hayes. However, he nearly missed them after his flight from London to Singapore was diverted to Kuala Lumpur due to bad weather. He eventually arrived in Singapore with just hours to spare.

The guys at German television channel Sky.de must have expected a harsh penalty for Renault at the meeting of the World Motorsport Council on Monday. This afternoon they presented Nico Rosberg – who finished second to Fernando Alonso in the 2008 Singapore GP – with a makeshift winner’s trophy from last year’s race. “We think this is yours,” they said…
