Racing drivers are stupid, right? Wrong. Nico Rosberg had a place at Imperial College London to read aerodynamics and his team-mate Alex Wurz was one year away from graduation on an engineering course when racing intervened. Top of the class, boys!When ATT Williams took delivery of six new Generic scooters at Silverstone, it was important to get some pin-sharp photographs of the drivers using them. F1’s motorhomes just got brander. McLaren unveiled their £10 million “Brand Centre” at Silverstone today. It arrived at the track on 10 articulated lorries and took 20 people four days to erect. “It’s a business tool,” said team boss Ron Dennis. And quite some tool at that.
The ATT Williams motorhome might not be new, but it’s had a facelift of its own. Ginny Williams, wife of Frank and a keen gardener, has added two pedestals of flowers by the entrance. They look lovely and iWitness wants to suggest how to stop them wilting: place them outside in the appalling weather for two minutes each evening…
