Spa Test Day Three
Posted on Thursday 12 Jul 2007
Alex Wurz completed the last day of testing at Spa-Francorchamps today. Despite more bad weather, Alex covered 75 laps, a total of 523kms, while carrying out preparation and development work ahead of the remaining races. After a busy (and predominantly wet) three days, the team will now pack up and return to Grove.
Alex set the sixth best time on day three with a 1:48.437
Dickie Stanford, Test Team Manager, Williams F1:
"We continued with our set-up preparation work with Alex today, while we also ran through some development items. We had a planned gearbox change this afternoon but a small technical problem, combined with more poor weather, prevented us from doing the amount of running we would have liked. We’ll now pack-up tonight to return to Grove. Overall, it’s been a productive test and the boys have all done a really good job for the team."
