Goose in Top Gun or Dr Greene in ER? The debate surrounding Anthony Edwards’ most famous role began as soon as he stepped into the AT&T Williams hospitality area, where he was a personal guest of Frank Williams. Judging by his smile, Anthony was clearly loving F1’s return to North America; it was good to have you with us, Goose!

Something unheard of happened today. The race’s 12pm start meant the garage pack-up was completed by 8pm – a record. As a result, the whole team was able to enjoy a night out in Montreal before flying home tomorrow.

While the mechanics were hard at work with the pack-up, other people were discombobulated by the race’s early finish. What to do with the rest of the day? Some drivers headed straight to the airport for 5pm flights… but not Michael Schumacher. The seven-time champ was spotted enjoying a beer in the paddock at 6pm. Attaboy!

There was a fantastic atmosphere at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve this weekend. The race was a sell-out, with more than 300,000 people attending the three-day event. It made a nice change to the Turkish Grand Prix two weeks ago, which was attended by a total of 40,000...
