Frank Williams is a great admirer of the Armed Forces, so he was delighted to welcome the Help For Heroes charity into the AT&T Williams motorhome this afternoon. Three men wounded on active service – Sean Stoker, a double amputee from the One Royal Welsh regiment, Ollie Robinson from the Queens Dragoon Guards and Nick Kirby from the RAF – joined us for qualifying. We hope you enjoyed yourselves, lads.

Rubens Barrichello revealed today that he wants to visit Sin City. He hasn’t suddenly become the bad boy of F1; he’s a massive poker fan and wants to try his hand in some of the world’s most famous casinos. “Every poker player wants to play in Las Vegas,” he says. Word of advice, Rubens: don’t watch The Hangover with your wife before you go.

Anthony Hamilton is attending his first race of the year this weekend. He’s no longer Lewis’s manager; he’s looking after Force India test driver Paul di Resta. “It feels really good to be back,” he says. “I was a little bit apprehensive about coming back, but things have moved on and these are new times.”

Murray Walker was back in action for the Beeb yesterday, interviewing Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. The drivers’ jaws dropped when Murray told them he was 25 years old in 1948, the year of the first British Grand Prix at Silverstone. “That’s the same age that I am now,” screamed Lewis. “How old are you now?”
