Sunday's Blog from Silverstone

To get both drivers in the points was a satisfying result for the team today. Everyone has worked incredibly hard to improve the car in recent weeks and that’s now paying off with genuine pace and consistency in the races.
We ran the cars on different strategies. Rubens was one of the first drivers to pit for prime tyres, whereas Nico was one of the last. He might have stayed out longer than lap 27 too, but we saw the debris on the Hangar Straight and thought a Safety Car would be deployed, so we brought him in. That proved to be the right decision.
There is still a lot of development work to be done on the FW32 and we have a series of upgrades scheduled for the next races that should improve the car further. But what Silverstone proved is that we have a good basis from which to work.
Due to the new resource restriction in F1, the British Grand Prix was my first race of the year. It was a useful trip because it allowed me to keep up to speed with what the other teams are doing. Of course we follow our own development path, but it’s interesting to see what the others are up to and I’m heading back to Grove with a couple of ideas that we’ll put in the wind tunnel.
