Rubens Barrichello’s boys, Eduardo and Fernando, featured prominently at Interlagos this weekend. Wearing official AT&T Williams gear, they were spotted at lunchtime today walking down the pitlane with Rubens en route to the drivers’ parade. Wonder if one of them will ever make that journey on his own?

Senior Systems Engineer John Russell has had a shadow in the form of Eddie Corr this weekend. John is leaving AT&T Williams at the end of the year to work in the Aussie V8 tin-top series and Eddie is going to be his replacement on the race team; hence his desire to understand John’s job at a grand prix. Eddie, you’ll be pleased to know that we don’t eat this much beef at every race!

The post-race pack-up was more frantic than normal at Interlagos. The freight has to be in the Yas Marina pitlane on Tuesday in preparation for next weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, so it was all hands on deck to get everything packed away. Even race engineers Tony Ross and Tom McCullough were spotted getting their hands dirty – hold the front page!

Congratulations to Red Bull Racing for winning the constructors’ championship, just 19 months after the team won its first race in China 2009. The title is the seventh constructors’ crown of tech chief Adrian Newey’s career, four of which were with Williams F1 in the ’90s.
