Formula 1’s summer holidays begin tomorrow and both ATT Williams drivers are taking full advantage of the break. Nico Rosberg is living up to the F1 driver stereotype by heading to the party island of Ibiza with a couple of mates. Alex Wurz, meanwhile, is taking the more sedate option of a family holiday in Mallorca. Rock ‘n’ roll, Wurzy!
When Alex isn’t building sand castles with his kids, perhaps he’ll spice up his hols with a game of chess. He met Zoltan Almasi, the world number 17 chess player, at the Hungarian GP and he could try out some of the moves he was taught on his chum Pedro de la Rosa, with whom he’s holidaying in Mallorca. Check mate!
Just one step of the GP2 podium remains unconquered for Kazuki Nakajima. The ATT Williams test driver finished second in Saturday’s feature race at the Hungaroring, which followed four consecutive third places at Silverstone and the Nurburgring. Top dog in Turkey?
