One hundred million dollars. McLaren’s fine from the FIA sounds like something out of an Austin Powers movie - as is Nico Rosberg’s reply, when asked to explain how he would spend that amount of cash: “I could do with that! I don’t know what I would spend it on – an island?”

 

The ATT Williams marketing team stopped at a roadside café en route to their hotel last night to pick up some chicks. After protracted negotiations with the man behind the counter, they came away with a bag of chips and a dollop of mayonnaise… Lost in translation, perhaps?

 

On the subject of food, the team’s motorhome girls have had their work cut out this weekend. Spa’s split-level paddock means that all food and water for the garage-based workforce has to be carried up two flights of stairs. As if serving the media in the motorhome wasn’t hard enough…

 

The Keane fans among you might have spotted their drummer, Richard Hughes, in the Spa paddock this weekend. He’s a guest of Jenson Button, whom he met at the MTV Awards in Copenhagen last year.
