Jerez Test Report - Day One
Posted on Tuesday 18 Sep 2007
The team today commenced a three day test session at Jerez, in southern Spain. The 4.428km track is one of the most popular testing destinations among the teams - this week's trip is the third visit for ATT Williams this season alone.
Preparations for the remaining three races of the 2007 Championship are high on the agenda this week, with a catalogue of systems checks being Kazuki's priority on day one ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
Among nine of Formula One's eleven teams testing over the week, Kazuki set the eighth quickest time on day one with a 1:23.177 on lap 42 out of a total of 87.
Dickie Stanford, Test Team Manager, Williams F1:
"Kazuki opened our first day of testing at Jerez today. In readiness for the remaining three rounds of the season, we’ve been working through some fairly thorough systems checks, with much of the emphasis on Fuji. Nico will take over tomorrow."
