Jerez Test: Day One
Posted on Monday 14 Jan 2008 and tagged with Jerez, testing.
The AT&T Williams team launched their pre-season testing campaign today with race drivers, Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima piloting a pair of interim FW29B cars at the Jerez Circuit in Spain.Amongst a packed field, the duo covered respectable mileage despite a wet morning while developing systems for the 2008 season.
To mark several milestones which the team will celebrate this year, the two cars ran with the first of six interim liveries which will be rolled out over the January and February tests. This week's livery references the three major landmarks, namely Williams F1's 30th year in the sport, the 500th Grands Prix (which will be reached in Turkey) and the 50,000th racing lap.
Team Times:
N Rosberg: 1:21.143 (47 laps)
K Nakajima: 1:23.134 (42 laps)
Both Nico and Kazuki will continue work tomorrow on day two of testing.
