We like to feel at home when they’re on the road, so it came as a pleasant surprise when our chef, Mark Dodds, discovered a Tesco just up the road from Sepang. “The food deliveries to the paddock have been a bit tardy,” he says, “so I decided to shop for the team myself. Having the Tesco up the road has been great because they have lots of English food – breakfast cereals, things like that.”

 

Raspberries and blueberries. A healthy enough dessert for someone like Sir Jackie Stewart, who looks so much younger than his 68 years. Except he surprised us yesterday when he poured cream on top. And then some. And then some more. And then some sugar. Got a sweet tooth, JYS?

 

Hey, Lewis, who’s the lovely lady? The New Straits Times, Malaysia’s biggest-selling newspaper, has become obsessed with Lewis Hamilton’s love life. Today it published a picture of him kissing a “mystery blonde” in the Sepang paddock. Sorry to spoil the story, guys: it’s Sonia Irvine, sister of former F1 driver Eddie.

 

Force India will soon have to worry about how they’ll transport their cars to the Spanish Grand Prix in a month’s time. The reason for their concern stems from Eddie Jordan placing a concrete blockade along their Silverstone factory’s driveway. EJ wants to sell them the land that adjoins the factory and it appears that he can’t accept that they mightn’t want to buy…
