Battery drinker wins job at AT&T Williams

The AT&T Williams team, in association with team sponsor Battery energy drink, has confirmed that the winner of its 'Win a Job' promotion has been selected. Jaakko Pennanen, a life-long Formula One fan from Finland, was selected from 30,000 applicants to join the AT&T Williams team for the French Grand Prix in Magny Cours next weekend. Jaakko will visit the headquarters of the team on Tuesday June 26 and will be issued with his uniform, shown around the facilities and briefed on his duties with the team in France. The following day, he will travel with the AT&T Williams team and the other Formula One personnel to Magny Cours for his once-in-a-lifetime experience of working with the team over a Grand Prix weekend. In anticipation of his trip, Jaakko said, 'I'm more than excited to see what really happens behind the scenes in the paddock and to roll up my sleeves and get involved. I am told I can expect long working days, but I am prepared for Formula One to be hard work – I have only attended a Formula One race once before in Hungary as a spectator, but now I am going directly to the heart of the action – unbelievable!' It's not often that members of the public are able to see the hard work and long hours that go into preparing and running the Williams Toyota FW29s for our drivers.
