Exciting opportunities are now available at Williams F1 for people with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills. Based at our headquarters in Grove, Oxfordshire, we are offering the following apprenticeships:

Trainee Machinist: This role will provide a diverse range of technical challenges in which you will learn to manufacture metallic components for our race cars. Skills you will develop will include interpretation of technical drawings, bench fitting, filing, grinding and various welding techniques. In addition, you will learn conventional turning and milling, progressing onto CNC turning and milling. This role will suit you if you have an active interest in metalwork, design and technology.

Trainee Model Maker: As part of your training you will learn to make fully functioning, scale model parts of our race cars for use in our wind tunnel testing programme. You will be taught to use a variety of materials and techniques, and will therefore develop a good range of hand crafting skills, as well as the ability to measure and fit components accurately. You would be ideally suited to this role if you are creative and have a good eye for detail.

Applicants for all of the above positions should be committed to pursuing vocational qualifications in engineering and will receive support accordingly from the company during the term of the apprenticeships. Applicants are expected to have a good standard of education at GCSE level including Maths and English at grade C or above and have good communication skills. A flexible attitude to work and hours is essential, as well as being a good team player.
