Kazuki's Monaco Blog: Thursday

When I heard that Nico [Rosberg] was playing in Michael Schumacher’s F1 Allstars football game in Monaco on Tuesday evening, I have to admit that I was a bit jealous. I love playing football! Ahem, Michael, if you’re reading this…

As it is, I’ve spent much of my week watching football. I was in the Monaco stadium at the F1 Allstars game, where I’m pleased to report that the F1 drivers – Michael (do we still count him?), Giancarlo Fisichella, Sebastian Vettel, Tonio Liuzzi and Nico – gave Prince Albert’s XI a good drubbing. Then I watched the Champions League final on Wednesday night as well.

For the Champions League game, I walked from the Marriott Hotel where I’m staying to the apartment where some of the guys from AT&T Williams are bunking down for the weekend. There was a general mix of Manchester United and Chelsea support, and a lot of beer was drunk. What is it about English football fans and alcohol?

Anyway, it’s now time to stop watching and start doing. I can’t wait for the serious bit of my Monaco GP weekend to start.
