Kazuki's British Blog: Sunday

If you asked me whether I prefer driving in the wet or the dry, my answer would definitely be the dry. But, bizarrely, my best races this year have been in the wet: I’ve scored points on four occasions, two of which have been wet.
Today’s British GP was a crazy race, in which visibility was really bad and at various points the track conditions were so bad that it was a struggle just to keep the car pointing in the right direction. The team then made a great strategic call to switch me onto extreme wet tyres at my final pitstop, which enabled me to fight my way into the points. It was disappointing to lose out to Jarno Trulli on the last lap, but I was still pleased to come home in eighth place.
After the race I put in an appearance at the post-race party. Given that the weather was so bad, it was great to see so many fans still having a good time and I enjoyed listening to the Bootleg Beetles as well. The original Fab Four are big in Japan, so I knew a lot of the songs.
From here, I head to Hockenheim for a day of testing this week, prior to the German Grand Prix on 20 July. I hope it rains...
