Kazuki's German Blog: Friday

A misfire hindered my progress in second practice today. We think we’ve rectified the problem ahead of tomorrow’s final practice and qualifying sessions, but that doesn’t bring back the lost track time. As a result, we’ll use some of the data from last week’s test session in our calculations for the remainder of the weekend.
It was good to see some fans in the grandstands today. The atmosphere in Hockenheim’s Motodrom is spectacular when it’s full of fans, and the campsites surrounding the track look pretty noisy places to be as well. We drive past lots of tents en route to the hotel and, from what I can tell, not much sleeping takes place in them. There’s loud music – lots of heavy rock – and everyone has a barbecue going, which creates a lot of smell and smoke. I guess Nico, who sleeps in his motorhome at the European races, must need earplugs to get to sleep!
