iWitness in Valencia: Friday
Posted on Saturday 23 Aug 2008 and tagged with iwitness, valencia, europe.
Spain might have two Grands Prix this year, but the fans still have some serious gaps in their F1 knowledge. Screaming “Taku!” in the direction of Kazuki Nakajima, as happened this afternoon, is not a good way to get him to sign an autograph.
If the Spanish fans were pulling Kazuki’s leg, they need to go easy this weekend because legs are a sore point on his side of the AT&T Williams garage. Kazuki’s data engineer, Nic Perrin, is hobbling around on crutches after he broke his ankle in a Motocross accident in Wales last weekend. What that man does to get a bit of sympathy from the motorhome girls..
Congratulations to Maureen Maggi, ex-wife of former Williams driver, Antonio Pizzonia. She won the gold medal in the women’s long jump in Beijing after jumping an astonishing 7.04 metres, which was her personal best of the year. Did all those pep talks from Frank and Patrick in 2004/’05 actually help?
Get off my land! Whenever AT&T Williams test at Kemble Airport, which is located near to our Grove base in the West of England, we are welcomed with open arms by the officials and local residents. When Renault, McLaren and Force India did the same recently, however, they received six letters of complaint from local residents. Sorry guys, locals only!
