Kazuki's Shanghai Blog: Saturday

I woke up feeling a bit groggy this morning. I’ve got a cold and although I probably sound worse than I actually feel, I’m not in the best physical condition for driving an F1 car. It’s pretty humid here too, which means I’m sweating more than at some tracks.
There’s not much to say about the performance of the FW30 today. I knew after final practice this morning that it was going to be a difficult qualifying session for me because the balance of the FW30 wasn’t where I wanted it to be. And so it proved: I was knocked out in Q1 and will start the race in 17th place.
As a result, I think I’m in for a tough race tomorrow. My best chance of getting a good result will be if it rains because that always levels the playing field. Fingers crossed!
