Following a five day test at Jerez last week, the team were once again back in action on the test track as preparations for the first round of a new championship heat up. With the Australian Grand Prix just 20 days away, Kazuki Nakajima headed back to Spain over the weekend for another two days of pre-season work at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
On his first of two days in the cockpit before Nico takes over on Wednesday and Thursday, Kazuki recorded a 1:22.813 and lapped the 4.655km track 111 times, a total of 516kms.
Dickie Stanford, Test Team Manager, Williams F1:
“Kazuki Nakajima started this week’s four day Barcelona test with a set-up programme followed by a race simulation, which we successfully completed this afternoon. The team are now getting the car ready for tomorrow’s run for which Kazuki will carry on with our set-up work preparing for Australia.”
