Kazuki's Melbourne Blog: Thursday
Posted on Friday 27 Mar 2009
Who will win the race on Sunday? No-one knows, and that’s what makes this weekend so exciting. We had a good final test session of the winter at Jerez last week, but it’s only here that we’ll get a proper idea as to who’s quick.I’ve been in Australia since Saturday. I flew into Sydney, as I did before last year’s Australian GP, and spent the next few days training and relaxing. I persuaded my trainer Nick Harris to delay our training session on Tuesday because I wanted to watch Japan play Korea in the baseball World Cup. I’m pleased to say that we won, so I was more than happy to do a hard session in the gym after that.
I flew to Melbourne on Wednesday morning and went straight to Albert Park to begin my preparations for the weekend. There are no changes to the track layout this year; it’s only the cars that are different and it will be fascinating to see how FW31 feels when we take to the racetrack tomorrow. I can’t wait to get started.
