iWitness in Australia: Saturday

So addicted is Nico Rosberg to his new book, “The Trillion dollar meltdown”, that nothing outside of driving his FW31 will keep him from its pages. He kept members of the press waiting this morning while he finished another chapter, and he had to be pulled from its pages by race engineer Tony Ross prior to qualifying. Got a few delicate investments, Nico?Another book read recently by Nico is Sir Richard Branson’s autobiography, Losing My Virginity. “It’s a great read,” says Nico. “I really admire him because he’s a self-made man.”
Branson, of course, is at Albert Park this weekend following his announcement that the Virgin Group are to sponsor Brawn Grand Prix. However, he wasn’t in Melbourne on Saturday night because he flew to Sydney with daughter Holly to watch the opera.
There have been a lot of late nights for all the teams this weekend, but Renault might be suffering from tiredness more than most. The entire race team – excluding Flavio Briatore and drivers Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet – flew economy class to Australia. Welcome to the club, guys!
