It’s good to be back in Europe. The season takes on a better rhythm once we’re into the rota of races that take only two hours to reach in a plane, rather than 12, and when we’re at the racetrack we have the motorhome at our disposal too.

I’ll have a significant aero upgrade on my FW31 this weekend, which I’m looking forward to using. Nico had it on his car in Bahrain and now I’ll have it as well. The wind tunnel suggests that it’s a significant improvement over the old package, so it’ll be interesting to see what differences I find out on the racetrack.

Away from racing, I’ve had a good time since returning from the Bahrain Grand Prix. I think my flat in Oxford has missed me! I’ve been training hard and catching up with friends, and last weekend I took part in a softball tournament in London. A group of us fielded two teams and we finished second and third, which was not too bad.

Now, though, it’s time to focus on the Spanish Grand Prix. Last year I finished seventh in this race and nothing would please me more than to finish in the points this time around. Bring it on!
