Kazuki Nakajima was interviewed by one of his heroes this afternoon. Kazuhiro Kiyohara, a Japanese baseball legend, was asking him questions for Fuji TV and was surprised when Kazuki brought out the baseball bat that he’d been given by Kazuhiro when they last met at Suzuka in 1993. Once a fan, always a fan.

Talking of celebs, Kazuki’s physio Nick Harris sat next to Sharon Stone on the flight from London Heathrow to Nice yesterday morning. The diminutive actress was on her way to the Cannes Film Festival and needed Nick to lift her luggage from the overhead luggage racks upon arrival in the south of France. Not many people can claim to have touched Sharon’s chest…

Patrick Head will be a late arrival into Monaco this weekend. He’s elected to change his flight from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning so that he can see his son Luke perform a choral rendition of Gabriel Faure’s Requiem on Wednesday evening. Top dad award!

Nico Rosberg filmed a piece for the BBC and RTL yesterday, in which he drove a powerboat in the Mediterranean off Monaco. Everything was going smoothly until he was buzzed by Jenson Button, plus three of his mates, in another boat and the subsequent waves led to lots of stumbling by the cameramen. Take two!
