Year two of the BMW partnership is a big step forward. The team scores more than double the number of world championship points of 2000 and it racks up four victories en route to third place in the constructors’ championship. Ralf Schumacher takes his and BMW.Williams’ first victory at the San Marino Grand Prix and Montoya stands atop the podium for the first time at the Italian Grand Prix. The season is dominated by Michael Schumacher, but both Williams drivers are competitive with everyone else in the field.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT

Ralf Schumacher’s first win for BMW.Williams at Imola, or how about Juan Pablo Montoya’s pass of Michael Schumacher for the lead of the Brazilian Grand Prix? It’s opportunistic, decisive and brave.

DID YOU KNOW?

When Ralf Schumacher wins the Canadian Grand Prix and Michael Schumacher finishes second, it’s the first 1-2 for two siblings in the history of the sport.
