JEREZ, Spain, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Red Bull's Mark Webber set the fastest time in Formula One pre-season testing on Friday after rain which has hampered the teams finally disappeared.
Webber's time of one minute 19.299 seconds was the quickest lap at Jerez in two weeks of testing, although his car stopped and prompted a red flag during the session.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was second quickest and will take the wheel again on Saturday when a big crowd is expected to roar on the Spaniard. (Writing by Mark Meadows; Editing by Clare Fallon; To query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
