Race to Learn, Williams F1's educational initiative which uses Formula One as a thematic point of engagement to teach 10-12 year olds curriculum subjects from STEMs subjects through to design, teamwork and finance, will be available in Arabic and Portuguese from November 2010.

The Arabic language version will be launched in mid-November to coincide with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The success of the English-language whiteboard teaching aid, co-authored with Cambridge University Press, has encouraged the development of translation versions for roll-out across the Arab speaking world, with a particular emphasis in the Middle East, following a successful schools trial in Qatar.

The Portuguese version will not only be targeted at school children in Portugual, but also in Brazil where Formula One is a national obsession, and also in Angola, where the Williams Foundation is already active with national charities including Fundo Lwini.

Race to Learn is also currently being augmented with a new module, intended to integrate Williams' Responsibility activities with the addition of Road Safety classroom teaching. This will draw together Williams' other activities under its Spark banner, which include work to conribute to energy efficiency, education and saving lives on the road.
