Welcome to the Bahrain International Circuit, Formula 1's stage for the opening round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship.
Situated in the Sakhir desert, this circuit has been a fixture on the F1 calendar for two decades, with races under the lights and the blistering sun over the years.
With overtaking guaranteed thanks to the high-speed first sector, Bahrain is the perfect way to start the season.
Circuit Overview:
The Bahrain International Circuit's combination of slow, technical sections, sweeping mid-speed turns, and high-speed straights come within a 5.412 km (3.363 miles) lap.
Turn 1's heavy braking zone and the run down to the Turn 4 right-hander often see wheel-to-wheel racing, with the tricky downhill sequence of Turns 9 and 10 demanding precision and bravery for anyone daring to pass.
Sector 3's undulations and sweeping corners keep the speeds high for the all-important run down the pit straight, where a good exit is a must for drivers to attack as they get set for another lap.
