It's back to night races as the 2022 Formula One World Championship heads to the site of F1's first-ever race under floodlights – the Singapore Grand Prix.
The 5.063km Marina Bay Street Circuit looks spectacular with the backdrop of Singapore's skyline. But it is a gruelling test for the drivers who must contend with the physical demands of humidity, 23 corners, and the close walls of the street track.
F1 first headed to Singapore in 2008, but there is still no other circuit on the calendar that matches the uniqueness of Turn 18, where the track heads underneath a grandstand to give fans a top-down view of the cars.
