Williams Advanced Engineering are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to help manage the procurement of multiple programmes, joining our team on a permanent basis.
Duties will be wide ranging and varied with the successful individual supporting the on time delivery of conforming materials and parts, for new and existing products in conjunction with supplier quality assurance team. Day to day duties will include the preparation and issue of RFQ’s and carrying out all commercial negotiations, including design and development, tooling and piece price, working with the ERP system to raise purchase orders and ensure on time delivery and cost and budget responsibility to provide clear and accurate data into the programme BOM. You will be expected to create and report against Product/Category/Commodity/Programme procurement strategy gaining consensus with internal and external stakeholders throughout so excellent communication and influencing skills are key.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to build strong internal and external relationships with strong analytical skills allied and an ability to meet deadlines. You will have experience of working within an engineering, manufacturing or R&D environment and posses a sound understanding of manufacturing processes. A minimum of a CIPS level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience) would be desirable.
