Electrical Harness Technician

We are looking to recruit an a capable and proficient Electrical Harness Technician to join our Electronics Department.
This varied role will include but not be limited to -
Build LV/HV assemblies and enclosures.
Perform end of line harness test procedures such as continuity, isolation and resistive tests.
Build complex and challenging electrical wiring harnesses to exacting standards.
Provide on/off site support as required for Harness diagnostics and fault-finding.
Interface with engineering team as required to support harness and electrical system design development on prototypes.
You will be expected to be able to build one offs and also be able to cope with higher volume production runs.
Maintain workshop records and drawings.
Proficient in use of various specialist hand tools e.g., heat guns, solder, crimp tools and electrical testers.
Strong working knowledge of Raychem system 25 standards and processes
Strong experience of building electrical wiring harnesses (preferably within a Motorsport, Aerospace, Defence or similar sector).
Utilise motorsport wiring harness techniques using industry standard sealed System 25 and Contra-helical lays.
You are likely to be hold a relevant qualification (Apprenticeship, ONC, HNC or HND) in an engineering or manufacturing discipline
A Workshop Technician / Engineering Technician / Wiring Harness Technician with good “hands on” engineering build experience within an engineering environment.
A sound understanding and ability to manufacture complex wiring harnesses from manufacturing schematics.
Knowledge of common connector systems, wire types and sleeving methods.
A flexible practical mindset and can-do attitude along with the ability to follow written / verbal instructions with attention to detail.
The Williams Group are based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We offer free onsite parking and large open green spaces to unwind during breaks. We are a short 5 minutes’ from Wantage, our closest town centre. We have an on-site gym which is free to use for all staff and contractors. We also have a subsidised restaurant on site.
