Williams F1 are currently recruiting for a Stores Manager our Production team on a permanent basis. Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, you'll manage people, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
Provide a leadership focus to, and manage the day to day activities of, the Stores team.
Manage the personal development of the stores team to deliver the required skillsets.
Create and maintain a working environment that delivers a high level of employee engagement.
Maintain effective service delivery to the business.
Foster good working relationships between the stores team and the wider business.
Optimise the inventory mix to best serve business needs at a minimal investment of working capital.
Proactively seek ways to improve service delivery in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Develop the stores function to closely align with changing business needs.
Manage and maintain optimum stock levels at all times.
Oversee the operation of the Kan-Ban system ensuring that minimum stock levels and reorder quantities are appropriate and aligned with business objectives.
Organise regular rolling stock takes and take responsibility for investigating any stock discrepancies.
Resolve any issues causing stock discrepancies.
Rotate stock with limited shelf life and utilize storage space efficiently.
Manage end of life and obsolete stock to free up storage space.
Manage all CRS and MRS demand that is generated against Stores.
Responsible for Stores staff performance and development.
Oversee all aspects of the despatch and goods in functions including the van service.
Ensure that WAE deliveries are segregated from F1 parcels and notified to WAE within agreed SLA’s.
Responsible for all weekly reporting and data collection as required.
Balance resource allocation across the different stores responsibilities to support fluctuating demand.
Maintain positive working relationships with managers, peers and subordinates.
Be proactive in ensuring that the health and safety of employees is foremost when executing stores operations and that all risk assessments are kept up to date.
Manage the Stores budget and forecasting.
Staff Development & Training
Maintain the departmental skills matrix and identify development opportunities.
Implement the company’s Health & Safety policy.
