Pala Eyewear Competition Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter
1.1 The promoter is Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited of Grove, Wantage, Oxfordshire, OX12 0DQ, England (“Williams”). Williams owns and operates a Formula One racing team in the FIA Formula One World Championship named Williams Martini Racing (the “Team”).
2. The Competition
2.1 In this competition, entrants must comment, share or re-tweet Williams’ Instagram, Facebook or Twitter post relating to the competition and follow Williams on that social media platform for the chance to win one (1) of five (5) available pairs of Pala Eyewear.
2.2 Entries to the competition must be made via Williams’ social media channels and all entries received via this route will be considered entries under these terms and conditions, subject to the eligibility criteria and other terms set out in these terms and conditions. The winning entries will be selected on the afternoon of 10 December 2018 and the winner will be contacted by Williams by 17:00 GMT on 10 December 2018.
3. How to Enter
3.1 The competition will run from 15:00 GMT on 3 December 2018 ("Opening Date") to 10:00 GMT on 10 December 2018 ("Closing Date") inclusive. All times referred to in these terms and conditions refer to Greenwich Mean Time.
3.2 To enter the competition, entrants must comment, share or re-tweet Williams’ Instagram, Facebook or Twitter post relating to the competition and follow Williams on that social media platform. All entries must be submitted by no later than the Closing Date. All entries received after such time will be automatically disqualified. All entries must include a valid email address via which the entrant can be contacted.
3.3 No purchase is necessary to submit your entry.
3.4 Williams will not accept:
- responsibility for competition entries that are lost, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
- proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.5 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4.1 The competition is only open to persons aged 18 years or over. You are not eligible to enter the competition if you are:
- an employee of Williams or one of its holding or subsidiary companies (together, the “Williams Group”);
- an employee or an agent or a supplier of the Williams Group, which is professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
- a member of the immediate family or household of (a) or (b) above.
4.2 By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Williams may require you to provide proof of your eligibility.
4.3 Williams will not accept competition entries that are incomplete or which are considered, in Williams’ absolute discretion, to be obscene, defamatory or abusive. Any entry which Williams considers to be obscene, defamatory or abusive (in its absolute discretion) will not be eligible.
4.4 Entries are limited to one per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.5 Williams reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4.6 Competition entries cannot be withdrawn after they have been submitted.
5. The Prize
5.1 The prize for the competition is as set out in clause 2.1 and is supplied by Williams in conjunction with Pala Eyewear.
5.2 The prize is not negotiable or transferable and a cash alternative will not be provided.
5.3 If you are drawn as the winner of the competition, Williams will contact you via email to inform you that you have won. In order to claim the prize, you must reply to Williams within three (3) working days of such email with a valid postal address to which Williams will post the prize.
6. Winner Announcement
6.1 The winner will be announced via Williams’ social media channels before 17:00 GMT on 14 December 2018 (“Announcement Time”).
6.2 The decision of Williams is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 Williams will contact the winner as set out in clause 5.3 to notify them before the Announcement Time. Williams will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
6.4 Williams will send the name and county of the winner to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the relevant element of the competition requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in clause 1.1.
7. Claiming the Prize
7.1 Williams will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner, but if a winner cannot be contacted or is not available within three (3) working days of being contacted by Williams, Williams reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant whose entry was received before the Closing Date drawn at random in accordance with clause 3.7.
7.2 Williams does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
8. Limitation of Liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, Williams, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up a prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Williams, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Ownership of Competition Entries and Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Williams will become the property of Williams on receipt and will not be returned.
9.2 You agree that Williams may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website www.williamsmartiniracing.com and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant Williams a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.
10. Data Protection and Publicity
10.1 If you are a winner of the competition, you agree that Williams may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce you as the winner if it chooses to do so and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by Williams.
10.2 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used by Williams or its agents and suppliers to:
(a) administer the competition;
(b) carry out our obligations arising from these terms or any contracts entered into between you and us; and
(c) provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes; and
11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Williams may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
11.2 Williams reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend this prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
11.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
