Who is Oliver Turvey?

Oliver brings with him over 15 years of experience across Formula 1, Formula E, and sportscar racing

Widely respected in motorsport, Oliver has an impressive career, spending 15 years as a Test Driver for McLaren Racing in Formula 1 and eight seasons as a race driver for the NIO Formula E Team, where he achieved multiple pole positions and podiums in the FIA World Championship.

At McLaren, Oliver played a pivotal role, leading the simulator on-track car development and race set-up programme work ahead of each Grand Prix.

With an illustrious single-seater track record, Oliver has secured multiple victories across GP2, World Series by Renault 3.5, Formula 3 and Formula BMW. He is also a two-time British Junior Karting Champion.

Beyond single-seaters, he enjoyed a successful sportscar career, highlighted by an LMP2 class win at the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours.

An Engineering Graduate from Cambridge University, he has a passion for technical development, understanding and teamwork.

Oliver has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award, Autosport Awards National Driver of the Year and he has the distinction of becoming the first ever Cambridge Full Blue for Motorsport.
