Speed meets supernatural: TZUYU in the Singapore paddock
The K-Pop star answered fan-submitted questions and spoke about recording our theme song, her first F1 race and the character she wants in the garage

Fans from across the world sent in thousands of questions for TZUYU ahead of her first Grand Prix weekend in Singapore.
After appearing at our Fan Zone, she sat down with us in the paddock to answer some of your questions about the Atlassian Williams F1 Team x DAN DA DAN collaboration and the official theme song she is recording.
"I've been talking about this collaboration since January of this year," she said. "Despite these three very different worlds – music, F1 and anime – I think there is something in common, which is passion, creativity and courage."
The call to record the theme song still felt a little unreal, TZUYU admitted. "I couldn't believe I would be part of this collaboration. F1 and DAN DA DAN together was beyond my imagination. So I was very, very honoured.
“I have two important roles: as a group member and as a solo artist. This project was quite different from my usual work as a singer, so I was very excited and happy to be part of it.”

As for the sound, TZUYU describes the concept as speed meets supernatural. "I find that very interesting, very fresh and also unique," she said. "When the music video comes out, I believe my fans will really like it, and they'll also be surprised."
Turbo Granny has already made an appearance alongside her at our Fan Zone in Marina Square, and asked which DAN DA DAN character she would bring into the garage, TZUYU had her answer ready. "Definitely Turbo Granny, because her supernatural power is speed. If I had that speed, I could meet fans all around the world."
Soon the conversation drifted towards Formula 1, and when asked where she’d prefer to sit if offered a lap in a two-seater F1 car, her decision was clear. "I can be greedy, but I would definitely want to do everything. I would love to be in the driver's seat."
"I've never watched an F1 race, the actual race, myself," she said. "My friends contacted me and said they were very amused and jealous."

The most important part of kit for any F1 driver is their helmet, so what design would TZUYU go for? "Definitely white and navy. The Williams colours are also white and navy, so it's a perfect match."
Her priorities for the weekend ahead are clear. "I'm very much looking forward to meeting the drivers, and also Turbo Granny from DAN DA DAN. I'm very excited about it."
The theme song is still to come, but TZUYU already knows where it belongs. "Definitely this collaboration's theme song would be a good match for the team garage’s playlist."
