The 2026 Formula 1 season resumes at one of motorsport's most iconic venues as Atlassian Williams F1 Team heads to Spa-Francorchamps for Round 10 of the championship.
The Belgian Grand Prix marks the start of the final double header before the summer break, with the team looking to put recent learnings into practice at this storied venue.
Carlos Sainz is determined to turn the team's recent analysis into on-track progress after a productive spell back at Grove.
"After a tough weekend at Silverstone, we headed to the factory to meet with the entire team before digging into the data to understand where we're losing performance. We're working hard to iron out the issues we're still facing, and we're motivated to turn things around and get us back into a fighting position. Spa is an iconic track and will test the whole package, so the focus this weekend is on applying what we're constantly learning to see if it translates. The weather here can also add some unpredictability and we're yet to race these cars in the wet, so we'll need to adapt quickly if conditions change. I'm looking forward to getting back in the car and seeing where we stand."
Alex Albon is equally eager to return to one of his favourite circuits after spending time with the team reviewing recent performances.
"Spa is always one of the highlights of the season for me. It's such a cool track to drive and one of those proper old-school circuits. There aren't many places like it on the calendar anymore, so it's always a weekend I look forward to and one of the tracks that has good overtaking opportunities. “It's been nice to have some time back at the factory and to dig into the data from the past few weeks with the team. Everyone's been pushing hard behind the scenes, so hopefully we can put that work to good use this weekend. Full push ahead for the final two races before summer break, we need to maximise every opportunity we get."
