Behind the Badge: China
Elements inspired by China come together in a vibrant palette of red and gold – traditional colours of prosperity and celebration – with a bright pink accent to add energy.
A lantern featuring horse silhouettes nods to the Year of the Horse, while a race helmet carries an abstract pattern derived from the layout of the Shanghai International Circuit.
The background draws from the ornate patterns of traditional red envelopes exchanged during Lunar New Year, complemented by Mahjong tiles spelling “Shanghai.”
A stylised Shanghai skyline anchors the badge in place, while flowing traditional cloud motifs add movement and connect the design to Chinese artistic tradition.
