Formula 1 is returning to Las Vegas after four decades away – but this weekend is a very different prospect to the races of the 80s.
With the race in the desert taking place after dark on Saturday night, on a street circuit yet to be tested by an F1 car, there are unknowns aplenty as we head into the penultimate round of the 2023 season.
The weather, of course, is an unknown in every round. But the unusually cold conditions expected in Vegas this week could provide a new curveball for teams up and down the paddock.

Thursday - FP1 and FP2
Forecast: A clear sky with light winds, chance of rain towards end of FP2.
Temperature: 13C / 55F

Friday - FP3 and Qualifying
Forecast: Rain from early afternoon and into the evening, clearing up towards Qualifying.
Temperature: 13C / 55F
Chance of precipitation: 40%
Saturday - Race
Forecast: Light rain until the early afternoon, but cleared up before night falls.
Highest temperature: 13C / 55F
Chance of precipitation: <5%
