The 2025 Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, season continued with a one-stop round at Suzuka, and the results are in. With long tyre stints and not a single Safety Car to shake up the order, Round 3 proved a tough test for even the sharpest minds on the game.
Let’s dive into the answers and see how the Pit Wall Predictions community –and our secretive Grove guru, The Strategist – stacked up.

Q1 & Q2: When will Alex and Carlos make their first stops?

Alex made his first stop in the Lap 21–30 bracket, scoring 32% of players points on the opening question. Carlos ran slightly longer, boxing in the Lap 31+ window — few saw this coming, with just 3% calling it correctly.
The Strategist walked away with zero points from the first two questions.

Q3: Which Williams driver will pit first?

Alex was the first Williams into the pits, earning 40% of players five points. Unfortunately for our guru, they were off the mark on this one too.

Q4: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

For the second season in succession, there were no Safety Car interventions at Suzuka. A fifth of all Pit Wall Predictions players chose this option – going against The Strategist’s selection of one.

Q5 & Q6: What will Alex’s longest stint be?

Alex’s longest stint was 29 laps, placing him in the third bracket and making 53% of players very happy. Carlos ran on the medium tyres for 33 laps, nudging him into the 31+ laps option – sending five points to 7% of players, including The Strategist.

Q7: Where will the first Williams driver pit from?

Alex was P5 when he peeled into the pits, and not many saw it coming — just 4% of players got this right. The majority, including The Strategist, had gone for P6–P10.

Q8: Where will the leading Williams driver finish?

P6–P10. We leave Japan with two more points added to the tally thanks to Alex’s P9 finish – and a whopping 82% of players called it, The Strategist included.
The Strategist’s Score: 2/8 – 10 points
Ouch. A tough week for our guru, who’ll be looking to bounce back straight away ahead of this weekend’s race in Bahrain. Shoutout to the two players who top-scored with 7/8, netting a cool 35 points.
