And just like that, we’ve arrived at the final race of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
Both Alex (P17) and Carlos (P12) have work to do on Sunday, and our secretive Grove guru – known only as The Strategist – has taken everything into account and locked in their final calls of the year.
Will they sign off with a flourish, or will Yas Marina write another unpredictable twist?
Let’s take a look…

The Strategist’s Predictions – Abu Dhabi GP

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Lap 11–20. Last year’s Lap 12 stop hints at another early window.

Q2: On which lap will Carlos make his first stop?

Lap 11–20. In 2024 he went long to Lap 25, but The Strategist expects him to pit earlier this time.

Q3: When the first Williams Racing driver pits, what position will they pit from?

P6–P10. The Strategist is backing us to be running inside the top 10 by the time we make our first stop.

Q4: What will be the highest position we run at any stage during the race?

P6–P10. Last year’s peak was P9, and with strategy variance and Safety Cars always a factor here, a similar watermark feels achievable.

Q5: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?

Two. We usually see a one-stop strategy in Abu Dhabi, and that’s what our Grove guru is backing

Q6: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. Despite Abu Dhabi’s tight complexes, full Safety Cars are statistically rare – just six across 16 races.

Q7: At the end of the race, how close will the gap between Alex and the car ahead be?

2.6–5.0 seconds. Last year’s gap was over 15 seconds, but The Strategist believes a tighter midfield will compress the margins.

Q8: At the end of the race, how close will the gap between Carlos and the car ahead be?

2.6–5.0 seconds. A repeat of last season’s 5.8-second gap feels very possible – but with slightly more optimism baked in.
The curtain falls on another unpredictable year of strategy on Pit Wall Predictions. One race remains. One final chance to outscore the Strategist.
Dial in your picks – and good luck in Abu Dhabi.
