The chequered flag has fallen at the Marina Bay Street Circuit for the Singapore Grand Prix, but how did your fantasy weekend play out?
We’ve looked back at both Pit Wall Predictions and Higher or Lower to highlight the most popular calls, the predictions that caught most of you out and the questions that divided the community.
Pit Wall Predictions
How well did you predict the Singapore Grand Prix? A wet Sprint, a challenging qualifying session and a demanding race around Marina Bay made for plenty of tricky calls. Let’s see how you got on!
The popular call
You were confident that we’d see some neutralised running in Singapore, with 84% predicting a Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car during the Grand Prix. That proved to be a good call, with a Virtual Safety Car deployed on Lap 8 following Gabriel Bortoleto’s stop.
The closest call
Question three proved to be a close one, as you predicted our best Grand Prix qualifying grid position. 49% backed P14-P18, while 45% expected P9-P13, making it one of the most evenly split questions of the week.
The one that caught you out
Alex’s finishing tyre was a tricky prediction, with 44% backing mediums and another 44% going for hards. However, Alex ended his race on softs,, with just 9% of you picking the correct compound, making this a difficult one to call.
Tyre or Lower
How well did you fare in this week’s Tyre or Lower? From Carlos’ potential position gains to the battle for the fastest lap, there were plenty of predictions to test your knowledge of the Singapore Grand Prix.
The popular call
The majority of you expected four drivers to make two pit stops during the race, with 60% predicting Higher. This proved to be the correct call, as more than half of you correctly predicted that more than four drivers would make two stops.
The closest call
Predictions were almost evenly split on whether Carlos would gain four positions from his starting place by the end of the Grand Prix. 41% predicted Higher and 40% went for Lower, with the remaining 19% backing Exactly Right. Lower proved to be the correct answer, making this one of the tightest calls of the week.
The one that caught you out
Team radio proved to be a tricky prediction, with 46% expecting our team radio to feature on the main TV world feed once during the Grand Prix. While 39% backed Exactly Right, only 15% predicted Lower, which was the correct answer this time around.
Next stop: Austin, TX
We’ve got a week’s break before we’re back with more predictions for the United States Grand Prix.
