Behind the Badge: Azerbaijan

Our Azerbaijan Grand Prix badge channels the thrill of Baku’s street circuit and the pride of the nation.

At its centre stands the Karabakh horse, Azerbaijan’s national animal – celebrated for its speed, strength and endurance – perfectly symbolising the power and precision of Formula 1. Draped in a traditional saddle and rug and standing on an Azerbaijan-style carpet, the horse also honours the country’s centuries-old carpet-weaving tradition, a showcase of artistry and heritage.

In the background, the ancient city walls, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and the Maiden Tower connect the design to Baku’s UNESCO-listed Old City, while the modern Flame Towers rise like beacons of energy – symbolising Azerbaijan’s ‘Land of Fire’ and mirroring the intensity of race day through the streets.

This badge is a celebration of speed, culture and the unique spirit of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix – and it’s waiting to be claimed.
