During the summer break, we asked members of the free-to-join WClub to help us find F1's ultimate corner, narrowing thousands of submissions down to a shortlist of 10.
Last week the ballots opened, with this top 10 battling it out to claim P1. Thousands of fans cast their votes, and the results are in…
P1. Eau Rouge and Raidillon (Spa-Francorchamps) - 38.3%
The intimidating sight of Eau Rouge and Raidillon
It wasn't close. The uphill sweep through Spa's Ardennes forest ran away with the vote, taking well over a third of the total and confirming its status as the benchmark for what a great corner should be.
P2. Maggots and Becketts (Silverstone) - 13.0%
A podium finish for an iconic corner sequence at our home circuit
The first of three Silverstone corners to make the shortlist claimed second place. This high-speed S-bend combination has long been rated by drivers as one of the purest tests of car and driver on the calendar, and WClub members clearly agree.
P3. Senna S (Interlagos) - 10.8%
One of the best opening corners anywhere in the world
Named in honour of the Brazilian icon, this downhill, off-camber left-right combination rounds out the podium. It has produced some unforgettable overtakes over the years, and it seems that legacy resonated with members of the WClub.
The rest of the top 10:
4. Hotel Hairpin (Monaco) - 9.8%
5. 130R (Suzuka) - 7.2%
6. Copse (Silverstone) - 6.3%
7. Big Red (COTA) - 5.3%
8. Parabolica / Curva Alboreto (Monza) - 4.1%
9. Piscine (Monaco) - 3.1%
10. Stowe (Silverstone) - 2.0%
