Formula 1 is preparing to return to the Sepang International Circuit for Round 16 of the 2026 season: the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
While the name might conjure up images of Sakhir’s hot and arid conditions, this Bahrain Grand Prix will take place thousands of miles away in the tropical climate of Malaysia. And if history is anything to go by, we could be in for a very different kind of weather, with Sepang’s notorious downpours playing a major role in memorable races in 2009 and 2012.
