The Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2037 following a 10-year extension to its contract, F1 confirmed today.
Since its maiden race in 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has ensured its billing as a must-watch event thanks to a multitude of wheel-to-wheel battles, incredible action and, as of last year, dramatic conditions.
Atlassian Williams F1 Team secured their first points finish at the Las Vegas GP last season, thanks to Carlos Sainz’s P5 finish after securing a memorable P3 in qualifying.

The Las Vegas Strip Circuit has wowed fans from across the globe since arriving on the calendar. Headlines were made in 2024 after 113 overtakes were recorded, whilst Alex Albon clocked a 369 km/h (229.3 mph) top speed down Las Vegas Boulevard, meaning the iconic neon lights and world-famous hotels were truly just a blur.
The track action adds to what is already a world-class fan experience, with a multitude of unique grandstand and hospitality offerings. The event sees leaders and audiences come together from across sport, entertainment, culture and business, and has truly redefined what a Grand Prix can achieve, becoming a marquee sporting experience in the United States.
In addition, 2025 saw F1 Academy hold its season finale in Vegas and it will do so again this year. It’s a destination that knows how to host a sporting event, and F1’s return to the city has had a positive impact on the region, with the Las Vegas GP delivering $3.2 billion in cumulative economic impact for Southern Nevada.
Vegas provides a backdrop unlike anywhere else on the calendar
Speaking on the extension, President and CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali said:
“We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers. “It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market. I would like to thank Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the LVCVA for their continued support, passion, and vision. The future is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to taking this event to even greater heights.”
