The 2026 Formula 1 season continues in Shanghai as Atlassian Williams F1 Team heads to the Chinese Grand Prix.
With the first Sprint weekend of the year on the schedule, the team faces an added challenge as they continue to build understanding of the new car following the season opener in Australia.
Alex Albon is excited to return to one of his favourite stops on the calendar.
"I'm looking forward to racing in Shanghai again this weekend, it's one of my favourite race cities on the calendar. It's the first Sprint race of the year which will be a big challenge for us following Australia, and the track layout here is quite different from Albert Park."
Carlos Sainz is focused on continuing the team’s learning process after a difficult opening weekend.
"We come to China after a challenging weekend in Australia which gave us a better understanding of the areas we need to improve. This weekend will be a continuation of that learning process at a track with completely different characteristics."
