It’s home turf for Round 12, as we head to Silverstone – the birthplace of Formula 1 and a true test of car and driver. With fast corners, unpredictable weather, and a fiercely passionate home crowd, there’s no better stage for a big Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, score.
The Strategist has been back in the data, brushing up on Silverstone’s recent trends, and their picks are in. Will you be following the Grove guru’s lead, or carving your own path through the high-speed sweeps of Northamptonshire?

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Lap 21–30. Alex made his stop on Lap 27 last year, and The Strategist expects another deep run into the opening stint.

Q2: On which lap will Carlos make his first stop?

Lap 21–30. Carlos followed a similar strategy in 2024, and The Strategist believes the team will stay consistent this year.

Q3: Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Alex Albon. Alex was our first driver to hit pit lane first in last year’s race – and The Strategist is backing him to do the same again.

Q4: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?

Two. It was four stops in total last season, but The Strategist is forecasting a more straightforward one-stop apiece in 2025.

Q5: Which tyre will Alex end his race on?

Hard. He finished on Mediums last time out, but a switch to the Hard compound is the call this year.

Q6: Which tyre will Carlos end his race on?

Hard. Carlos wrapped up his 2024 British GP on Softs – but The Strategist expects a more durable choice this time around.

Q7: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. There were none last season, and The Strategist doesn’t see that changing.

Q8: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

One. We didn’t see a Safety Car in 2024, but with close racing and high stakes on home soil, The Strategist is tipping one deployment.
Another packed crowd, another unpredictable Silverstone Sunday. Will The Strategist’s calculated guesses pay off – or will this classic circuit catch us all out?
