Lucas Palacio is a Williams F1 Team Academy Driver racing in the OKJ-N karting series.
Born in Vienna, Virginia, Lucas began karting at the age of three. He quickly impressed, winning his first official karting race in 2020 and has gone on to outperform his peers throughout the championships he has entered. Notably, he entered the Mini Swift series in 2022 on an age waiver, achieving multiple podiums and wins despite being younger than his competitors. Lucas then went on to win the championship the following year, as well as the USPKS Mini Swift, Star Championship Series Swift Stars, and SKUSA Pro Tour Mini Swift.
In 2024, he graduated to international karting, entering the WSK Super Master Series where he secured a 2nd overall result and the ACI Italian Championship where he finished the series 4th out of 69 drivers. He was announced as part of the Williams F1 Team Driver Academy in October of the same year, becoming the outfit’s youngest talent.
In 2025 he earned 11 podiums across multiple racing series. In the OKJ-N category, he finished 1st overall in the WSK Super Masters Championship, finished 2nd overall at the WSK Final Cup Championship, and was crowned a 2-time IAME USA Grand National Champion.
In 2026, he will continue to race in OKJ-N with the support of the Williams F1 Team Driver Academy.
